Soldier

Soldier ★★★½

This feels like it was rushed? PWSA has some decent ideas about the PTSD being even in the most robotic of human beings and things about legislative powers being cowards (and hating refugees no doubt) but this moves at such a breakneck pace and hits the emotional beats of like a 2 to 3 hour movie that it just feels like there's a conclusion to scenes without any buildup. It feels incredibly unsatisfying and feels like it is missing crucial pieces that could make it effective in my eyes. I don't mind the general pace of most movies this length or breakneck pacing, but this is the exception.
