Victor Dubyna’s review published on Letterboxd:
Visually stunning, fantastic voice cast, great music, and all-around adorable fun. Christopher Walken and Bill Murray are true standouts and there characters make for the best scenes. I also love the wolves, mainly because of my love for Giancarlo Esposito and just how fuckin' cute the wolf pups are. What taints the film for me is just how much I dislike Mowgli and his performance. I don't want to sound too harsh but it is kind of cringey, and comes across as trying way too hard but ultimately failing. There are also a couple of glaring flaws in the sound design, and the flashback with Mowgli as a kid is so unconvincing as his Dad is getting mauled by a Tiger and the baby actor looks calm as could be. The flaws really bothered me on this watch, but it achieves enough for me to keep it at a 3.5.
