For months Roberts has claimed this is a faithful adaptation and it couldn’t be farther from the truth. The characters are just names from the games and what they did to a couple of them is just disrespectful. I feel like more money was spent on the exterior RPD gates than the rest of it. What a waste and they were so close to finally doing the series some justice. A couple of cool zombie scenes save it from being a zero in my opinion.

At least Anderson was up front about deviating from the games. This was easily the worst out of 7 movies.

As much as I love The Life Aquatic and The Fantastic Mr. Fox, this is easily Anderson's masterwork. Every single frame is so perfectly composed it's easy to lose yourself in this endlessly charming and entertaining film. It doesn't stick the landing in the end as much as I would have liked but that's hardly a slight against the film as a whole, this is a damn near perfect experience.
