Theo Refsgaard’s review published on Letterboxd:
“So you thought I was an invalid, but you didn’t know that I’m a fucking ninja.“ - Grey Trace, portrayed by Logan Marshall-Green.
While Venom(another movie that had similar concept of two entities controlling one body), was a shitty edgy reboot of The Mask, this revenge action cyberpunk kino had all the best elements of action films like “The Raid 1 & 2 and the John Wick series, and cyberpunk films like Robocop.
It’s a entertaining, unexpectedly frightening, darkly humorous and satisfying ride, featuring great use of body-horror and badassness, with some of the most creative action scenes I’ve seen in a long time. I mean we’re talking about a movie featuring literal handguns loaded through the biceps.
It also features incredible production design considering its budget of 2 million dollars. It’s one of the best revenge-action movies from the last decade, and no one should miss it.
