"🎢 Nothing is better than this 🎢"

What a better way to start your birthday than watching one of the most cathartic and joyful expierences of all-time? Watch one of the most cathartic and joyful expierences of all-time with my favorite person of this entire world! So yeah, not only I shown Talking Heads to my girlfriend, but I obligate her to watch 90 minutes of weird people creating alternative 80's rock songs

Honestly, I think there's not a single other movie that makes me have a physical reaction like this, my body never stops moving from the first to last musical number, and a lot of this coming from a different aspects. 1) the music is perfection, every song is amazing, creative and a pure musical blast, 2) the filmmaking itself is top-tier, principally when coming from the lightening, that gives some of the most expressive and hallucinating textures of all time, feeling like the rave scene in Matrix Reloaded

And the obviously third element that makes this be so great is David Byrne, he's just the perfect showman, the way he moves his body in different ways that always makes you entertained and hipnotixed by each small and crazy gesture, this might be unironically one of the greatest performances of cinema history

And what's even more interesting is how this utilizes it's own experimental energy to tell a story about a man that begins lonely and with the pass of the story, music and other people start entering his life and enters in a abstract celebration of happiness, finishing with every single person in the room losing it's shit with the spectacle that they witnessed. Now just to close this well, I will make a Top 5 best random moments of Stop Making Sense (please don't take this to seriously):

5 - the shot during the beggining of Making Floppy Floppy with the battery silhouette with a big red light and the word "ONION" written in the background
4 - David Byrne dancing/fighting against a lamp during This Must Be the Place
3 - Whatever is happening with David during Once in a Lifetime (principally the "Same as it ever was" part)
2 - Girlfriend Is Better begins, a shadow appears, and then we see.... that glorious and giant suit
1 - David presenting every single band member by name during Take Me to the River
