Excellent! The hype is real! Bloodily entertaining, Scream VI might just be my favorite sequel of the series. Radio Silence really outdid themselves in every department with this non-stop thrill ride that almost never lets up with the terrors. This is by far the goriest of all six films. The amount of creamy blood is plentiful, and I really loved that.
I must say, NYC proves to be a fitting setting. Starting from the killer opening, there's almost no room for the audience to breathe. The chases are well done. The kills are shocking and often mean-spirited. With the meanest Ghostface wielding the knife, no character is ever safe. It's simply astounding that they were able to pull this one off so fucking well merely a year after the previous one.
My only gripe would be the reveal, which I found a tiny bit absurd but is undeniably presented in a totally sensible way. Really can't wait to see this one again. The Scream franchise is in good hands, everyone. Look forward to seeing what they will come up with next.
