MIRROR (Andrei Tarkovsky, USSR, 1975) 3
The only Tarkovsky that a second viewing didn't turn me around on, though I don't hate it like I once did, It was the first film I ever fell asleep on in a public place, admittedly in an unideal screening scenario.
But MIRROR is literally too personal for its own good, and not just because of the obscurity. Watching it feels like listening in on someone's marital acts -- you have no doubt it's important to them, but you feel like an intruder and only half-"get" it anyway.
