"I'm massively into swastika's."
Can we throw money at Taika Waititi more often?
I love how consistently great this was: From the cast, to the sound design, the production design, the music, the cinematography, the writing and directing. There must be a führer watching over this to let these gears all work together so well!
Most impressive is how Waititi conveyed the emotions of Jojo over to the audience. While jokes fly passed you left and right with the Beatles blasting on the background, you feel like this is an awesome experience, until things tone down and shit gets real. Like Jojo we go from kinda digging what's happening to the realization that it's no laughing matter, ending with a victory dance when all is over.
