I cried over Carrie Fisher more than once because I miss her in this world, but the rest of this is varying degrees of good stuff (Kylo and Rey fighting together looks neat, I'm a sucker for physical puppet Yoda) and hot mess stuff (almost everything else). At least half an hour too long, and a tonal roller coaster, like three vastly different segments of a mini-series without an intermission but spliced every five minutes or so. Y'all, I'm not feeling so great about Disney buying out Fox. I guess this is better than Force Awakens. Why the fuck hasn't a woman directed a Star Wars film yet?
