Summer of South Korean Cinema (4/30 - Directed by a Woman #1)
Plenty of heart and power to be found in this half hour short film, but I guess my problem is that it doesn't really feel like a tightly constructed short. Rather, it sort of feels like a feature that is just cut short. This is a kind of story that works better for me when it is able to take its time and let the characters develop. Definitely makes me excited to get to Bora Kim's debut feature though.
