My heart! Inject this shit straight into my veins. I want to exist in a perpetual state of watching this movie. For those who haven’t seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople or Jojo Rabbit, Waititi is particularly adept at crafting stories around young male protagonists and Boy really scratches that itch. He has concocted a most earnest, delightful, & touching film that illuminates the disillusionment of a preteen boy reuniting with his absentee father, all against the breathtaking backdrop of 1984 rural New Zealand.

Revisited this after many many years last night and it was pure joy. Maybe it was the mushrooms, but I was intermittently weeping and laughing the whole way through.

Thirty years later, Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook is still an absolute revelation. His performance is transformative.

I only want to watch Robin Williams projects for the rest of quarantine.

I want to kiss the production designer.
