Dante Izrael’s review published on Letterboxd:
Being hopped up on Monster Energy Zero watching the last half hour of this is just crazy... absolutely fucking mind blowing... can we talk about the cinematography and can we talk about the score. Can we please talk about the synths. Can we talk about how In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida makes the already pretty fucking great climax to near perfection. Pure fucking cinematic ecstasy.
I can’t deny that movie is a product of the 80’s and insanely unapologetic about being a product of the 80’s but why is that a bad things? Why shouldn’t every movie begin with loud blaring synths? Why shouldn’t every movie have Heartbeat by Red 7 playing over the end credits? Why are we afraid of movies that look and feel so fucking cool?
