Dante Izrael’s review published on Letterboxd:
It’s interesting how in the age of the internet and shock pornography being available at the click of a button, something as simple as somebody eating dog poop is still widely regarded as exceptionally repulsive.
Feels practically pointless to point out that this was disgusting and there were several points where I actively thought to myself , “I am not enjoying this”. That’s the point. When you make something with the intention to provoke, what possibly could be the line that you draw? Killing animals? Joking about sexual assault (with said dead animal)? Eating dog shit? I think that the point isn’t necessarily to laugh because there’s something inherently funny about these things, but rather to laugh at the absurdity of the situation and why these things are off topic. I’m not really sure if there’s any point to seriously analyzing this movie or if it just exists purely to provoke. Maybe it can be both.
“Kill everyone now. Condone first degree murder. Advocate cannibalism. Eat shit.”
