2017 in rep

Annual exercise in rep accountability. Not my most exploratory year — I don't have the energy right now, and am not sure if I will ever again — but Bang Bang is the best movie I've seen in five years. You can watch it here, at least in US territories. Do it for me.

There is a weird anomaly here in that this list has two Allan Moyle movies. Safe to say that won't happen again.

Most embarrassing viewing gaps rectified: Casino, Citizen's Band, The Dark Crystal, Don't Look Now, L'Eclisse, The Last of the Mohicans, Meatballs, National Lampoon's Animal House, Nothing But a Man, Orphans of the Storm, Saving Private Ryan, Vinyl, The Warriors, Wuthering Heights

Renewed appreciation: 8 1/2, Day For Night, Diary of a Country Priest, Edward Scissorhands, The Firm (Clarke), Goodfellas, It Happened One Night, La Notte, Lost Highway, The Mother and the Whore, Minority Report, Regular Lovers, Taxi Driver
