I live for a 1930’s close up.

Mostly watching movies made before 1970 (you could also say this is a Melvyn Douglas fan account).

Deanna and Gail Patrick! Although, mostly Deanna, and she's adorable as ever. All of the crossing fingers and writing on the chalkboard was too cute. The girl's school was enchanting too, it looked straight out of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Also loved Deanna's school uniform and the outfit she wears to meet her "father" at the station. Mom walked by and said "Did that character inspire that lady from the Incredibles?" Honestly, I didn't know what she was talking about, but now I see ppl have commented Edna Mode and it's clicking....

Star-studded cast, and Allen Jenkins and Frank McHugh's small exchange was great, and possibly my favorite part of the film. I need all romcoms to have Patsy Kelly, Allen Jenkins, and Frank McHugh! Plus, Bob and Marion were perfect in their roles, playboy Bob is at it again, and Marion was a great comedienne.
