Carl Hudson’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is why I don't go out. I recognise this kafkaesque-nightmare all too well, and while my experiences have not been as wild as this, they've been enough.
Kudos for making me really feel the toll such a night would take on a person, but it reminded me a little of the Project X-film; how it felt like a party, complete with the boring parts where nothing happens, till something does and you're in the flow again. This is tiresome, then funny, then hilarious, then boring, frustrating, and so on and so forth.
Griffin Dunne does great work portraying Paul though, and Scorsese's directing is inspiring. The script is also clever, but I just don't particularly enjoy this type of movies/stories.
So yeah. It was alright.
