mia farrow is a star. that scene in the phone booth and the scrabble and honestly like that last 30 minutes were just master classes in psychological thriller and it feels really modern. i can also see some inspiration in this possibly for aronofsky’s “mother!” as well.
as for roman polanski being this director, it makes me very angry because the movie is so goddamn great and because he does not deserve it. but it makes total sense based on some of those sus scenes. why oh why do women in horror need to be topless in their nightmare fantasies? oh i know, for that dude who admitted to an assault case against a 13 year old. fuck you polanski, i 👢🦵’ed this and you should too
