Dana’s review published on Letterboxd:
I generally enjoy films with religion as a central theme, especially involving crises of faith, so I had high hopes when I began this. I can see why it's so revered, but unfortunately it's not for me. The tone was too bleak for my taste, and the editing was stark and austere—lots of dissolves, lots of close-ups of our priest looking miserable. I can't fault the acting, though: he looks truly tortured. I saw hell behind his eyes.
