Ryan Whittingham’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is David Lynch meets Ex Machina meets Inception.
A sick visceral journey that trademarks all good things about David Croneberg's career and are passed on to his son, who takes things to a whole new level with Possessor. Where there are tremendous body horror sequences matched with some uncomfortable gore, Possessor relies on its psychological tenancies of the mind and the soul to really engulf your experience. All the ideas are interesting and remarkably clever, sadly, not all of them are performed to a high degree, that said, it doesn't take you out of the experience too much.
This is new, exciting and bold work from Brandon Croneberg. There were enough surreal sequences to keep me happy for the rest of the year.
