Along with rewatching this I also checked out the deleted scenes and they were pretty cool. Nothing big, just some slight changes here and there. I have to say I understand why they were cut but one of the scenes was between Judy and Dewey and I think I would've preferred they kept it in. However, I understand that if they kept that scene in they would've had to keep another one in as well to explain why Dewey is talking to Judy so I get why it was cut.
Honestly I’m a bit nostalgic for this but besides that I also had a fun time watching. I’m not exactly sure why I had this lowly rated before because I never really disliked this movie but that’s the fun of rating stuff you watch and then coming back and watching. Alison Pill is absolutely hilarious in this movie.
If Chloé Zhao wasn’t already one of my favourite directors I think this movie would’ve pushed me over the edge. Nomandland is a emotionally resonant film and had me tearing up pretty quickly. Yet these tears were not ones of sadness or joy just the sheer beauty of the characters and the direction and the acting brought me to tears.
