Yeah I did just watch, Singin’ in the Rain in the rain. Now if only I had the voice of the main trio (Don, Cosmo, and Kathy) instead of Lina (Jean Hagen). This is definitely a feel good movie, and while not perfect, whatever mood you have going into it, you'll be in an even better one heading out. The big three of the movie: Don (Gene Kelly), Cosmo (Donal O'Connor), and Kathy (Debbie Reynolds) were easily the best part of the film. The three of them seemed like lifelong friends and had such great chemistry in their scenes together. You have about 20-30 minutes of movie, before you see them working together, but once you do, the movie really does fly by. The same cannot be said for the character of Lina, who just seemed like such a cartoon and not in a good way. Everything about her character seemed like severe overkill and overall she did put a damper on the movie for me. While I also did like all the musical numbers and thought they brought a lot of fun to the movie, some didn't really seem to help the overall story. Also, not really a problem with the movie, but can anyone tell me what the movie inside this movie was about? The actual movie was super solid though and definitely is a worthwhile watch.
