I’ve never been one for horror films but I really enjoyed this. I definitely liked it more than Midsommar. It’s also one of the few films that I’ve seen that deserves to be called a “horror film”. That shit was pretty scary in some parts. The cinematography is too nice. Some of those shots and the camerawork looked so good. That score... wow.
I think the thing that got me the most were the performances. Every single person nailed their role. I can imagine this isn’t an unpopular opinion but Toni Collette was incredible. From start to finish, she was brilliant. I can’t believe this didn’t even get nominated for an Academy Award.
