the best one (yes, including the original)! they should let dan trachtenberg make a real movie if he wants to, but he's also very good at this brand of disconnected fan fic. kinda cracked the code on how to make the most interesting kind of franchise film. probably underrating this, but i've had more than my fill of the predator. let it die lol

a studio gave damien chazelle 80mil to free-associate a riff on The House That Jack Built, and u know what? i found it as wildly entertaining and bonkers as that sounds! sags a lil in the middle for me, but by the end i was just so satisfied by the amount of movie i got for my money. give it five or ten years and it'll find its southland tales-ass audience.
