I'm in love with this
Watch it here!
I think Tarsem Singh, Dave McKean, and Neil Gaiman would get along. They make some visually enthralling stories, but sadly that's usually their only strong point, albeit a very strong point. Don't get me wrong it is enough to carry the movie, and enough to make it better than most. But I can only imagine the potential masterpiece - if combined with a story that is equally good on paper.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Did the Michael character add anything but a red herring to distract from the rest of a good movie? Could he have been cut completely?
I seriously waited for his motives to be revealed for the entire film, and was very surprised when it suddenly ended.
I feel like I need to rewatch it just to have watched it.
Anna Kendrick is in it so 10/10
