I reluctantly watched this after years of avoiding Christopher Nolan, who I do not care for at all. I thought, ok ... Best Picture nominee, great cast, interesting imagery ... maybe I should finally give it a shot.
And yeah, it sucks. As usual, Nolan has no sense of spatial awareness so any scene of action is confusing and non-sensical. And I really wish Cronenberg or David Lynch did this film because the MYSTERY of dreams is missing here. Everything is so clinical and "intelligent" that it takes away any wonder or mystery ... it's just a heist thriller with "clever" mechanics.
A highly overrated and disappointing feature from one of the world's most overrated and disappointing filmmakers.
