All of the shakiness and lack of focus that kept Hereditary from being great (in this Letterboxer's opinion, at least) is gone. Ari Aster proves himself an incredible filmmaker. He sets the mood, he makes the viewer incredibly uncomfortable and then he slips in hilariousness all over the place. Stuff like the scenes with the eyes shutting and then opening take a trope and zag with it. Florence Pugh is amazing here as well. I think she deserves an Oscar nomination but I'll be pleasantly surprised if that actually happens.
