God I Wish I Were A Fat Ass Shark.
my favorite new watch of the season in terms of being a full package/experience. incredible performances from everyone making up the cast (notable because sometimes i struggle with child actors), the whimsical nature of the plot, the emotional resonance. i loved it.
wish i didn't wait so long to get around to this.
Hooptober requirement: 4 body horror films - 4/4 - ✓
solid little creature feature type film with some really strong body horror imagery to boot. i think i gave this a go at some point near release but i never finished it. not sure why that is exactly seeing as this was pretty good as mentioned and i've definitely sat my ass through worse by a long shot. previous me is an enigma.
just a few days left for the season. it went by so fast.

Hooptober rule/requirement: 10 anniversary films - 9/10
Don't know what to say. As I watch more and more cinema I keep waiting for this to fall in my favor but it's still my favorite film of all time even after all of these years.
Already have at least 2 more viewings of this planned for the rest of the month (once on 10/10 or 10/11 in cinemas and the other the night or day that I go see Halloween (2018)) so maybe I'll have some more constructive thoughts later, sorry.
