1) If you're a woman walking around the dockside, and a dude offers you a six-month acting job if you get on his boat tonight, never take that job
2) Similarly, if you are a sailor and you find out that your boss has hired way too many guys for a job, almost like he think a bunch of you will die, it is your responsibility to leave the ship
Also goddamn, that log rolling scene is cruel. It's a bunch of guys holding on for their lives, and every time one of them falls you got a tiny little doll version of them plummeting and screaming until they hit the bottom and crunch like bugs.
