“Don't ever apologize for being the smartest one in the room.”
Best: Acting (great performances, filled with charismatic umph, standouts being Tom Holland, Zendaya (whatttttt), and Jake Gyllenhaal), humor (terrifically executed comedy, almost always lands), visual effects (brilliant textures, blended in wonderfully, stands out in the Mysterio fever dream), fun action, direction
Worst: Bland cinematography (uninteresting shot composition, muted colors), scale (the bigger scale ruins the effectiveness and charm of Spider-Man that was prevalent in Homecoming)
Notable Bit: According to storyboard artist Jeffrey Henderson, Mysterio was supposed to be one of the villains in Sam Raimi's canceled Spider-Man 4. He was to be played by cult icon Bruce Campbell, a childhood friend and longtime collaborator of Raimi's, who had made cameos in all three Spider-Man films.
