Really liked the atmospheric beginning and getting to know everyone. Some great moments and great deaths. Didn't really appreciate Pearl telling us and Maxine in actual words what her motives are, I felt like it was more fun when she was a little mysterious, although I enjoyed the way both she and her husband were after killing young sexy people but for different reasons. But like. why is an old lady wanting sex so horrifying huh. Justice for Pearl.

Stunning child actor performances from everyone. Almost perfectly pulled off being sentimental but not mawkish, hopeful but not dishonest, funny but serious when necessary. Moments of emotion were well-drawn and there were plenty of little details for later. It wasn't faultless but the sweet emotion keeps it at a high rating.
