Verges on being the full-fledged Deep Rising / Blue Sea (hell, even Life) schlockfest that it should be, but I really could not get behind the movie’s combination of muddy cinematography and shaky cam. This is also one of those plots that hinges on characters navigating from one piece of wreckage to the next, and still I couldn’t tell you where any of those places were in relation to one another. If you’re being outdone by the likes of Renny Harlin and Stephen Sommers then there’s really no saving you.
Nice to see K-Stew play a silent badass type that could have easily gone to some less deserving dude like Charlie Hunnam. Not a total waste.
