In Time 2011
In Time attempts to show a harrowing, dismal dystopian society, but wraps up before confronting its larger issues. a nice watch, but hardly a groundbreaking nor life-changing flick.
this review will largely be comparing In Time and Gattaca, so skip to the next section if you haven’t seen Gattaca yet.

Titanic 1997
Immaculate movie. The scale and feel of everything is this film feels so heavy and grand. The score, especially Hymn to the Sea which is legitimately one of the most emotionally stirring songs I’ve ever heard, is somehow iconic and also under appreciated at this point.
