self referential as ever, cronenberg continues his career long exploration into the question of what happens when technology merges with the flesh- and this is taken to an extreme in crimes of the future. this is the focus of the film. with gizmos and gadgets that look like something out of eXistenZ, cronenberg probes and pulls at the body of viggo mortensen. the ending shot might be one of my new favorite cronenberg final shots. i quite enjoyed this film,…
