"You see, I expected complexity. I expected intelligence. I expected a puzzle, a game. But that's not what any of this is. It hides not behind complexity, but behind mind-numbing, obvious clarity."

Recently I watched Muppets Treasure Island and I'd have to say that the film about glued pieces of felt pretending to be pirates is just as entertaining as the $300m sci fi sequel that we waited 13 years for

    Lethal Weapon 3

    ★★★

At this point it's exactly what you'd expect from a LW film in terms of story and action, but that didn't stop the film from having entertaining moments scattered throughout

  • Suburban Mayhem

    Suburban Mayhem

    ½

From the title and poster, this really should have been a fun, energetic, anarchy-fuelled film that was filled with chaos and tension... instead it's a weirdly structured, ugly looking mess with some of the most unlikable and irredeemable characters in a film ever. There was nothing exciting, tense, fun or even memorable from it. The best way to describe it is to say it's Good Time but without any of the smart directing, complex characters and driving tension behind it all.

Maybe I was just expecting it to be more shocking, intense and unsettling, or maybe I would have just enjoyed it more if there was a secret rat controlling Ralph Fiennes to cook all of his meals
