π£ EVERYBODY'S A SUSPECT π
I was 9 years old when this dropped. I didn't understand what it meant to slasher films or horror in general at the time but every subsequent viewing I learned a lil more. A classic slasher film. Meta as fuck. Intense as fuck. Everyone knows what this is. Here are some random thoughts while watching for the first time in at least 10 years!
- The principal was cartoonishly intense!
- This was alot funnier than I remembered
- Gale's character arc in this franchise changed so much. She started as a cold selfish fucktard just looking for the hot story.
- Deputy Dewey is my dude. Wholesome as hell man
- Randy is my guy. A true scream king.
- I LOVED that video store Randy worked in.
- Billy Loomis was a dickhead from jump!
- Stu was a nutcase from jump!
- Casey's death at the beginning was huge for 9 yr old me cause I'd never seen a star brutally murdered at the start of a film.
- Tatum didn't drop one beer during the jumpscare in the garage!
- There's no way Tatum thought she could fit through the cat door lmao
- Pretty mean spirited at times
