I know for a fact that had I went to see this in theaters, I would’ve fallen asleep after thinking I could watch this movie after a 10 hour shift. Christian Bale reminded me of my fiancé’s uncle which is fun. Other than that, not for me.
Side note, until the minute I started this movie, my dumbass thought Christian Bale and Matt Daemon played Ford and Ferrari respectively.
Some good fun within an almost too chaotic movie. None of the humor really worked for me but I loved the action.
Finally knocked this one off my watchlist. I loved the movie and agree with all of the praise it received when it was first released. I hesitated to watch this for so long because my girlfriend, who is often in the room while I’m watching movies, is terrified of scary movies. We both thought this movie was scary so it got pushed aside for quite a while. Besides the cgi, which hasn’t aged extremely well, this movie was fantastic.
I am not a huge Pete Davidson fan so I came in with low expectations but nothing about this movie made me feel very attached to the story. In fact, I went in thinking I’d cry at least once (not a huge feat) but I was dry until the credits rolled. I loved Bel Powley’s performance and will gladly check out her next movies. In the end, I’ll remember this movie for the fact that it got my roommate and her boyfriend to finally watch something new with me.
