Persuaded my wife to watch with me this time. She "fucking hates folk music" even more than Llewyn and I do, but she's very appreciative of Oscar Isaac. She informed me, as he launched into his first tune, that he speaks four languages. That's only one more than me, but he is younger, a better actor-troubadour and substantially more attractive. I worried about this for a while before asking myself — which of us would she leave in charge of our cats?
