Persona ★★★★★

in persona, bergman challenges film boundaries between fantasy and reality through contradictions. when the narrative is conjoined with the madness of two women, it becomes a film of blurred lines and inconclusiveness. in other words, unity and eternity at its most frightening state because many film analysts have tried to disassemble this film into its most simplest form, and it still remains enigmatic as of today. it subverts the idea that film is absolute; meaning that rewatching this film may not look the same as the last time, and every rewatch becomes more rewarding than the last.
