Luis Calil’s review published on Letterboxd:
Lots of very, and rightfully, celebrated bits, but let's give it up for the opening scene, featuring a series of mysterious and grandiose images (plus Carax himself!) that all but scream "you are about to watch a masterpiece." The actual segments are hit-and-miss, even within the segments themselves; only the mo-cap and the accordion band fully work... That is, until the last two scenes, which are absolutely hilarious and magical, and responsible for at least 10 points in my stupid 100-point grade. Uneven and unforgettable.
