Inside Llewyn Davis ★★★★

Au revoir. -end?-

Dreamlike quality and tangible winter coldness achieved through a foggy filter and lots of snow, granting the film absolute immersion, similar to Fargo, I had to watch this with two layers of blankets on. Inside Llewyn Davis is a movie where we watch Oscar Isaac hitchhike around and make as many bad decisions as humanly possible. I love how every shot, event, line, miscommunication, 'what's and 'huh's thrown around, seemed to serve a purpose -- a convention of the Coen brothers at this point -- be it thematic or comedic or others, and needless to say, I enjoy the ambiguity of said purpose as well. Still struggling internally about how I should rate this.
