Hoop-Tober Challenge (For Beginners) Film #25
Safe and secure from all alarms.
The film manifestation of a true nightmare. Besides having the most badass title, The Night of the Hunter is also one of the most wonderfully shot films of its decade. I can't stress that enough. In one scene we see Cooper sitting in the shadows, shotgun resting on her lap, breast heaving. The scene was so powerful one could almost see her thoughts. You could tell just how much she cared for her children, how determined she was to protect them. I fell in love instantly.
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
-- God! I can't think of anything else to write if that tiny Robert Mitchum in my head won't stop singing! I'm totally creeped out here, drenched in cold sweat. Guess I'll be having trouble sleeping tonight.
