Parker’s review published on Letterboxd:
“When you drove through Sacramento... Was it emotional?”
I want to just take the time and review this. I don’t think I wrote these kind of reviews back when I saw this in the theaters. I remember going into this with nothing but pretty high expectations. I heard the hype around this so I ended up seeing for myself. And this film exceeded my expectations more than any movie has ever for me. Lady Bird is a phenomenal and emotional experience with some hilarious moments. Lady Bird is hands down one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. Shows Christine’s “Lady Bird” journey during her last year in high school and getting ready to move on in life. She is giving the very tough deal of cards when it comes to her mother, her friends, and boys. Christine’s personality makes her so unique I just adore it. It’s also safe to say that i remember crying like a 12 year old girl with my mom and sister after seeing this in theaters. If you have not seen this phenomenal film I recommend you do so. Lady Bird is MY 2018 Best Picture, Saoirse Ronan is MY 2018 Best Actress, & Laurie Metcalf is MY 2018 best supporting actress. Instead of me giving a summary for this film I want all of you who haven’t had the chance to go out and see this film. Absolute PERFECTION.
