Jimmy in Saigon 2022
Frameline46
Oof. That last animation bit was just bliss.
One gay brother's journey to find out who his older gay brother was after he died in Vietnam when they were young. While it never uncovers a definitive truth, it so enjoyable to see how two families across the world who were connected for a very brief time finally meet to reveal the pain and loss they felt and commiserate in the happiness that their siblings shared. It suffers from pacing issues but it's a really reverent doc on how we can connect to people not how we know them but how they truly were.

Boulevard! A Hollywood Story 2021
Frameline46
Not my favorite Jeffrey Schwarz gay Hollywood doc mostly due it's bland nature compared to the subject: "Writing partners" (aka GAY) help the enigmatic Gloria Swanson write Boulevard!, the first Sunset Boulevard musical. I'm also not a huge fan of doc directors inserting themselves into the story unless it's absolutely necessary.
I do, however, love Swanson, Sunset, and gay couples! Although Swanson was only 50 when Sunset came out, the jackasses in Hollywood had no use for a woman…

Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed 2021
I wanted this to be more "Did you know Bob Ross murdered 33 people and called them happy accidents?!" than "Here's an old lady in 1985 who fucked over Bob Ross and is remarkably still alive almost 40 years later."
