    So far up my alley that it’s practically standing on my doorstep. Deliciously atmospheric, mind-meltingly surreal, occasionally hilarious, devastatingly emotional, and utterly bizarre (in the best way). I’ve never seen anything quite like it before, and I’m sure I never will again. How many movies feature multiple sequences where Edgar Allan Poe leads the protagonist through a black and white dreamland by lantern light, helping him write a book and confront his past along the way?
