One of Studio Ghibli's finest non-Miyazaki films. The character arc is wonderful, as well as the accompanying mystery and twist ending that honestly rivals what most live action films conjure up. Ghibli's animation is better than ever, with character movement and surrounding details popping brighter than ever. The score is also masterful, arguably one of the year's finest. This was released in the united states in 2015, so it will most likely go down as my favorite animated film of the year next to Inside Out and Shawn the Sheep.
