Zack’s review published on Letterboxd:
As a kid, I used to watch some episodes of the series, so this was somewhat nostalgic for me. It’s a pretty good film, always entertaining, just a fun thing to watch with the family. Voice acting is great, animation is simple yet effective, the plot aims high, and I’d say it mostly succeeds. The meta humour had me laughing quite a lot. On top of being a casual light hearted film, Candace’s arc with her brothers was surprisingly very existential. It had simple, but relatable themes, and the resolution this aspect of the film was very heart warming. Nothing really comes to mind for negatives, it’s definitely not a perfect film, but it doesn’t really have any big glaring issues. In conclusion, a pretty good, easy going film that’s always entertaining, it has great humour, and the themes make it surprisingly heartwarming and relatable.
