This movie's not terrible, it was disappointing but it's not terrible. It suffers from an issue that plagues many superhero movies...too many villains. The first one had the same issue, too many conflicts going at one time. I miss when movies had a singular villain they were up against. The conflict was simple.
But now, you have to have the signature villain in order to set up a sequel and then that sequel needs to tie in with the other…
I miss Bill Paxton so much. What I always enjoyed about him is how he could play the "Every man" role. Dry sense of humor as well, either way this is an excellent movie.
More films should do this. Make a solid film and then try a different genre to mix it up. This is a fantastic movie that has so many quotable lines. The cast are all-stars, you couldn't remake this movie. I would've loved to have seen them rehearse or go over lines.
This is up there in terms of greatest sequels of all time. Here's to Ripley.
