I wanted to LOVE this film. It has so many ingredients I like—a coming-of-age story, authentic performances, iconic valley vibes and locations (70’s to boot), romance and comedy, sensitive directing. But what could have been so good is completely marred by the fact that the central relationship is between a 15 year old and a 20-something. Don't Look Up 2021
First 45 is great. Then it devolves into Adam McKay essentially jacking off into your face for another 1.5 hours. This movie does not feel real. It’s watchable and decently entertaining at least, and DiCaprio and Lawrence are awesome.
The Q&A with DiCaprio, Lawrence, and Streep at the end was probably the most star power I’ve ever experienced in person. Insane.
