    Infinite

    ★½

I wanted to like it but I didnt care so much of this.

Aside of some cool action scenes and some cool gadgets this is a very flat movie.

They try to put so much into the story and they dwell around the main subject in a way that it just become a mash of CGI fireworks.

  • Wrath of Man

    Wrath of Man

    ★★

Im not a big Guy Richie fan however I do like Jason Statham.

This movie looks like something I seen to many times. A bit to much of a formula movie and its not a good start of the movie when its early on reveal what kind of movie this is.

A bit slow paced for some reason I cant understand. Perhaps to create a more poetic touch to this movie. The soundtrack is very monotome and it feels like the main character played by Statham have no pulse.

    I Care a Lot

First twenty minutes I almost just shut down the movie because of what the movie looked to be.

After that it changed to the better. To some degree I almost can see how the writer of this really is going for to stretch this out and deliverate see to it that the story take turns you didnt expect.

Take an example with Tolkien that wrote lord of the rings. I have been told that the story was written in a…

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I havent figured out how to deal with TV shows on letterboxd, so I guess I take it episode by episode and Im going to spoil this all the way.

    Episode 1

So Loki get abducted to a place that monitor the timeline. He is no longer a being with earthy powers but just a little annoyance for this powerful entity that got bored beareacrates that just push him around.

What I like about this is that it feels fresh…

Ohh, this is a very long movie, I saw that it was on the festival program som years ago and I read things about it.

This is a long, slow paced movie that follow the main character from his perspective the whole time. The movie is built more on the thoughts of the characters than dialogue, like quotes from letters between husband and wife.

The first 5 minutes is fantastic I would say because it establish the main character and…

  • Braindead

    Braindead

    ★★½

This is not exactly my taste of movie.

It feels like a show of of things things a young Peter Jackson do just to demonstrate what he can do when it comes to being technical.

  • The Drop

    The Drop

    ★★★★

Very good movie that I just picked on random.

Actors I like to watch on the screen, Tom Hardy, Noomi, James Gandolfini (This must have been on of his last movies).

What happens with this slow paced movie is that it succeed to put me in the movie zone. Some movies just do that and it aint something I can put the finger on why.

The story for me is crystal clear, it got some small side stories but its…

  • Escape Plan

    Escape Plan

    ★★★★

    Rewatch of this little movie.

I like prison movies, I like Sly and Arnold and them together in this movie is gold.

Its not a complicated story and this movie lives of these two actors star quality.

Also very strong supporting actors in 50 Cent that doesnt look like a rapper, Sam Neill that is a all over the place guy and the old fotballer Vinny Jones.

I have to add that I think this is a bit of cynical…

    Battle Beyond the Stars

    ★★★★

I watched this on vhs rental back in 87 or so. I think I happened to chew up the videotape with my recorder.

Anyways, watching it now I realize I didnt remember much but the music was very familiar.

This was just fun to watch. A space opera probably greenlighted due to success of star wars.

Is it a nostalgia watch when I almost dont remember watching it say about 35 years later ?

  • Deep Rising

    Deep Rising

    ★★★★

When I watch a movie like this, my feeling is that I want to watch this on a big screen.

The plot is silly, it involves sea monster, it got some moments of cheap jokes and the set is fantastic.

This movie is similar to Meg, Deep blue sea, feels a bit like the fourth Alien movie that Jeunet directed that was on cinema 1997.

A group of odd characters in shady business, that border to a team similar what…

  • I Am Alfred Hitchcock

    I Am Alfred Hitchcock

    ★★★½

I think it was a good documentary with a good structure and it also add things around Hitchcock, like people that were important to him and so on.

If you are a Hitchcock fan, you should check it out.
