Joe’s review published on Letterboxd:
Who can really say, but I don't imagine this holding up to repeat viewings as magnificently as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, going as it does for broader comedy, (often literally) louder violence, and more destructive mayhem, even though everyone agreed that the mayhem was the least interesting part of KKBB. Still pretty great, scratching my near-perennial private eye fiction and hard-bitten comedy with a gooey center itches simultaneously. It even has a slightly pointed political bent, suggesting that we should have listened to all those dopey hippies 40 years ago and cleaned up the air, an unfortunately pretty radical position even today.
